Author Guidlines

General:

  1. The manuscript is the result of research or conceptual ideas in the field of social sciences and humanities studies, not being sent to journals / other publications and has not been published elsewhere. For details of subjects can be seen on Focus and Scope.
  2. The manuscript can be written in  English and Indonesia,  10 - 15 pages long text (including References).
  3. The manuscript is printed on A4 size A-size HVS paper, with 3.17 cm margins (left-right-up-down), typed in a single column format using Microsoft Word, single space, Cambria font size, 12 With special effects (such as: bold, italic, underline, and the like that are out of place). The format and font size for tables and images can adjust. Please see the template.

Guideline for Online Submission

Author should first register as Author and/or is offered as Reviewer through the pollowing address: https://journal.ikmedia.id/index.php/jishum/about/submissions

Author should fulfil the form as detail as possible where the star marked form must be entered. After all form textbox was filled, Author clicks on “Register” button to proceed the registration. Therefore, Author is brought to online author submission interface where Author should click on “New Submission”. In the Start a New Submission section, click on “’Click Here’: to go to step one of the five-step submission process”. The following are five steps in online submission process:

  1. Step 1 - Starting the Submission: Select the appropriate section of journal, i.e. Original Research Articles or Review Article. Thus, author must check-mark on the submission checklists.
  2. Step 2 – Uploading the Submission: To upload a manuscript to this journal, click Browse on the Upload submission file item and choose the manuscript document file to be submitted, then click Upload button. 
  3. Step 3 – Entering Submission’s Metadata: In this step, detail authors metadata should be entered including marked corresponding author. After that, manuscript title and abstract must be uploaded by copying the text and paste in the textbox including keywords.
  4. Step 4 – Uploading Supplementary Files: Supplementary file should be uploaded including Covering/Submission Letter, and Signed of Declaration of Originality form. Therefore, click on Browse button, choose the files, and then click on Upload button.
  5. Step 5 – Confirming the Submission:  Author should final check the uploaded manuscript documents in this step. To submit the manuscript to JISHUM, click Finish Submission button after the documents is true. The corresponding author or the principal contact will receive an acknowledgement by email and will be able to view the submission’s progress through the editorial process by logging in to the journal web address site. 

After this submission, Authors who submit the manuscript will get a confirmation email about the submission. Therefore, Authors are able to track their submission status at any time by logging in to the online submission interface. The submission tracking includes the status of manuscript review and editorial process.

 

Script Format Research Results:

  1. The manuscript consists of the title, author's name and correspondence address, abstract and key words, introduction, research method, results and discussion, conclusions and suggestions, acknowledgments (if deemed necessary), as well as References.
  2. The title of the research article should be able to provide an overview of the research that has been done, written in capital letters, font size 12.
  3. The name of the article writer is written without any academic degree or any other degree.
  4. Abstract is written briefly, contains a description of the problem and research objectives, methods used, and research results. Abstracts are made in English or in Indonesia  each in one paragraph with 250 -  300 words, filled with key words (3-5 words) on the next line.
  5. Introduction includes background issues, research objectives, benefits of research results, and theoretical basis (no subtitle).
  6. Research methods include research design, research subjects, data collection methods, and data processing methods (no subtitle).
  7. Results and discussion, containing the results of data analysis (not raw data), can be assisted using tables and graphs, and discussion of the findings of research results.
  8. Conclusions and suggestions, presenting the author's summary and affirmation of the results of the study and discussion (without subheadings).
  9. Acknowledgment (if needed).
  10. References using APA style 7th Edition. 

 

Non-Research Manuscript Format (Study Library):

  1. Non-research articles or conceptual ideas are articles of the author's thought on a problem that is poured in writing. The manuscript consists of title, author's name along with correspondence address (institution), abstract and key words, introduction, discussion, conclusions and suggestions, as well as bibliography.
  2. The title of the article is expected to reflect exactly the issues discussed in the article, written in capital letters, font size 12.
  3. The name of the article writer is written without any academic degree or any other degree.
  4. Non-research article abstract is a summary of the content of articles that are poured in solid, not comments or introductory authors. Abstracts are made in  English each in one paragraph with 250 - 300 words, filled with key words (3-5 words) on the next line.
  5. Introduction includes background issues, goals, benefits, and theoretical basis (no subheads).
  6. The discussion contains commentary, analysis, argumentation, and author's stance on the matter being discussed (can use the subtitle).
  7. Conclusions and suggestions, presenting the author's summary and affirmation of the discussions that have been made (without subheads).
  8. References of both research and non-research scripts using APA style.
